What Is Today’s Wordle Answer?
The answer to the Wordle on March 27th is:Stung.
Merriam-Webster defines stungas the past tense of sting, which means “to prick painfully: such as to pierce or wound with a poisonous or irritating process, to affect with sharp quick pain or smart,” or “to cause to suffer accutely.”
Here is an example of how you might see it used: “The angry hornet stung the curious dog on the nose.”
Sting comes to modern English through Old English, and originates from Proto-Germanic. Similar words can be found in other languages descended from Proto-Germanic, like “stinga” in Swedish.

How Do You Get Wordle?
The most important thing you can do to finish a Wordle without running out of guesses is to pick a great starting word.
Mathematicians, linguists, and cryptographers have all attempted to suss out which word is the best to start a Wordle, and there are plenty of well-reasoned opinions out there. If you don’t want to use those, however, here are some ways to pick your own openers.
I typically start with the word raise for those reasons, and that is a choicebacked by some number crunchers. A good second guess depends on how well your first word did. If you got nothing with raise, for example, you should just assume that O and U are the vowels in the word and guess accordingly.
