Insta360 has revealed the Flow 2, the company’s latest gimbal for smartphone video recordings. It’s a selfie stick, gimbal, and battery bank all in one, and it has a lower price than the Flow 2 Pro.

The Insta360 Flow 2 is built to be portable and easy to use, so it’s not that heavy. The gimbal itself weighs about 348 grams (12.3 ounces), and the magnetic phone clamp adds another 25 grams (0.9 ounces). When folded, it measures 97.9 by 178.4 by 36.7 millimeters (3.6 by 7 by 1.4 inches), making it small enough to fit in a pocket. When unfolded for use, it extends to 121.1 by 282.1 by 54 millimeters (4.8 by 11.1 by 2.1 inches).

The 3-in-1 design includes a built-in selfie stick that extends up to 207 millimeters (8.2 inches), helping users take wider shots or frame themselves easily. It also has a built-in tripod, extending to 94 millimeters (3.1 inches) with a diameter of 204 millimeters (7.4 inches), for stable hands-free shooting, time-lapses, or still scenes. The smaller size makes it easy to carry and quick to set up, which is important for capturing unexpected moments.

A major advantage of the Insta360 Flow 2 is its compatibility with many smartphones. It works with phones between 6.9 and 10 millimeters (0.3 to 0.4 inches) thick and between 64 and 84 millimeters (2.5 to 3.3 inches) wide. The gimbal can hold phones weighing from 130 to 300 grams (4.6 to 10.6 ounces), covering most popular models.

The Insta360 Flow 2 is powered by a 1100mAh battery that lasts up to 10 hours. This long battery life means users can film all day without needing frequent recharges. When it’s time to recharge, the gimbal uses a USB-C port and takes about 2 hours to fully charge. Plus, the Insta360 Flow 2 can act as a power bank, charging a smartphone on the go, but that means the Insta360 will run out of battery more quickly.

Its advanced gimbal system is at the heart of the Insta360 Flow 2’s performance. It has a wide range of motion, with Pan movement from -210 to 120 degrees, Roll from -207 to 123 degrees, and Tilt from -99 to 231 degrees. This, along with a maximum control speed of 120 degrees per second, lets you make smooth and precise camera movements to capture dynamic photos and video easily.

Wireless connectivity makes the Insta360 Flow 2 even more useful. It has Bluetooth 5.0 for easy connection to smartphones, allowing remote control and integration with apps. This pairs nicely with its AI tracking, powered by Deep Track 4.0 technology, which is also used in the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro. This smart AI locks onto subjects like pets, kids, or fast action and keeps them in focus even if they briefly leave the frame, which is great for continuous tracking.

You can buy the Insta360 Flow 2 for $110on the official website, and it should show up at other retailers soon. That’s a bit cheaper than theFlow 2 Pro, which costs $160.
