How To Export To YouTube Music
YouTube Music is replacing Google Podcastsin the Google ecosystem, and moving your subscription list there is pretty easy. First, make sure that you have YouTube Music installed on youriPhoneorAndroid deviceand that it is up-to-date.
Then, open the Google Podcasts app and tap on “Export Subscriptions” at the top of the screen.
Under “Export To YouTube Music,” tap on “Export.”
It will open the YouTube Music app. Tap on the “Transfer” button.
A note will pop up about adding RSS feeds. Tap on “Continue”.
After transferring your subscriptions, tap “Go To Library” to view them.
How To Export To Other Podcast Apps
If you’re not moving to YouTube Music, you can still take your subscriptions with youto another podcast app. All you need to do is download your subscription list as an OPML file. An OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language) file is used to export lists of web feeds, such as podcast subscriptions or RSS feeds, between different applications.
In the Google Podcasts app, click on “Export Subscriptions” in the notification at the top. Under “Export To Another App,” tap “Download.”
How To Import Your OPML Files Into Podcast Apps
To import your subscriptions into your app of choice, just open the app and go to Settings. You should be able to find options for “OPML Import.”
Then select “Import From Other Podcast Apps” (or whatever variation your podcast app uses).
It will lead you to the Files app, and then you may select the Podcast OPML file you exported.
