DirecTV is now offering three new genre-based streaming options for customers who want to access more content without paying a high subscription fee, the company said Thursday. Instead of getting an entire bundle of channels you’ll never watch, you can choose from low-cost news and entertainment tiers.

Following the release of its$70 MySports packagelast month, DirecTV is back with three new plans: MyEntertainment, MyNews, and MiEspañol. These new genre packages are available to customers as standalone options at an affordable price point, or you can bundle multiple genres together, all without signing up for a more expensive satellite TV plan. They’re à la carte, if you will.

DirecTV packages

Starting today, February 27th, 2025, customers can choose between any of the three new packages for only $35 a month. Depending on the package, you’ll get access to upwards of 40 channels, including Bravo, Fox, NBC, FX, Syfy, Food Network, and much more. Each package contains a variety of content from specific providers, like Fox, Walt Disney Company, Comcast, Univision, Warner Bros Discovery, and the A+E Networks, to name a few.

So, whether you’re enjoyingDirecTVs free streaming app, or are a paying customer, you now have four new genre-based options to choose from. Additionally, it sounds like this is only the beginning of a more significant push to offer small bundles of content for its users.

DirecTV MyNews Package

With the MyNews package, you’ll get access to 10 popular nationwide or global news channels to help you stay up-to-date and informed about world events. For $40 per month, tune into CNBC, CNBC World, CNN, CNN International, Fox Business Network, Fox News Channel, i24 News, MSNBC, and NewsMax, to name a few. This package includes Fox and NBC local affiliates in select markets.

DirecTV MyEntertainment Package

The MyEntertainment package rolling out now from DirecTV gets you more than 40 channels. Again, it’s only $35 per month, and that price includes the ad-supported plan of Disney Plus, which is a nice little perk. Here are a few channels and networks you’ll enjoy: A&E, Animal Planet, Bounce TV, CNN, Fox News Channel, Freeform, FX, FXM, FXX, Game Show Network, Lifetime, MSNBC, National Geographic Channel, Travel Channel and Vice TV.

DirecTV MiEspañol Package

Finally, the new MiEspañol tier is again $35 per month yet offers upwards of 60 Spanish-language channels and content. With this tier, you’ll get access to Antena 3, Discovery en Español, Discovery Familia, Bandamax, Cinelatino, CNN en Español, ESPN Deportes, Estrella TV, Nat Geo Mundo, Fox Deportes, Sony Cine, Telef and Universo, plus Telemundo and Univision.

In a statement, DirecTV CMO Vince Torres said, “At DirecTV, we’re breaking up with the one-size-fits-all bloated cable bundles of the past by delivering new ways for consumers to enjoy the content they love at the best value.”

All three of these new options, along with the MySports package, MyCinema, and more, are available today for customers to choose from. Head to the DirecTV Stream website and get started.
