It’s usually much quicker than trying to search the documentation or forums myself, and I can ask it to generate step-by-step instructions describing how to achieve my goal. The responses also include source links, so I can dive into relevant pages if necessary.
One of the biggest problems with ChatGPT is that there is so much you can do with it, it’s often hard to know where to start. The same is true of custom GPTs; you can create GPTs to do almost anything, so coming up with the ideas for what custom GPTs to make is often harder than making them. Once you’ve made a few, however, and realized how useful they can be, you may soon find yourself using them for all manner of things.
