Rowan Atkinson is perhaps best known as the bumbling Mr. Bean, a character that spread far beyond its British roots. If you’re fond of Atkinson’s particular brand of slapstick humor,Man vs. Beeis the ideal show for you. The premise is simple—a man called Trevor is housesitting in a mansion and becomes embroiled in a battle against a flying nuisance—but it leads to plenty of laughs.
Most episodes are around 10 minutes, so you’ll speed through in no time. Trevor’s plight sees him breaking things, encountering the police, laying traps, and more. The chaos quickly mounts to epic proportions, with Atkinson showing us why he’s the master of physical comedy. Sure, it’s not exactly prestige TV, but it’s a breezy and fun watch.
Technically,Man vs. Beewasn’t renewed for a second season, but a follow-up calledMan vs. Babywas announced by Netflix in December 2024. No word on a release date yet, but hopefully it’ll land at some point this year.

Even if you’ve never consumed it, you’re likely aware ofThe Walking Dead’s zombie-infested universe, which spans comics, games, and television. Once the main TV show concluded in 2022 after 11 seasons, more spin-offs followed, one of which was the Norman Reedus-ledDaryl Dixon.
Daryl Dixonis basically self-contained though, and is a refreshing change of pace from what came before, so you can come to it as a franchise veteran or newbie. It’s about an American survivor called Daryl who washes up in France. Here he encounters a nun called Isabelle (the fantastic Clémence Poésy), who tasks him with an important mission, but Daryl is more interested in getting home. It looks great, with the European setting lending a unique tone, and the dynamic between the lead characters is strong.
There are actually two seasons ofDaryl Dixon, with a third on the way, but Netflix only has the first. In fact, the show is set to leave Netflix in August, so now is the perfect time to binge. If you end up enjoying it and want to see Daryl’s further adventures, consider a subscription toAMC+, which is the home for all thingsThe Walking Dead.

No one narrates a nature documentary like David Attenborough. The naturalist has been educating us on the wonder of our planet and its animals all his life, and his Netflix seriesOur Planetis no exception, produced by the team behind the likes ofPlanet EarthandFrozen Planet.
Our Planetexamines different ecosystems with each episode, from the deep and mysterious oceans to the varied residents of the jungles and rainforests. It also has a strong focus on climate change, exploring how humans are disastrously impacting the environment and the importance of protecting the habitats.
The documentary is educational for all ages (though small children may not like the occasional animal violence), but it’s also beautiful and magical. This is not a stuffy experience full of talking heads and stock footage. You’ll see biomes in incredible detail, painstakingly captured over nearly a decade, and it deserves to be played on the biggest screen you have.
To easily keep track of everything you want to watch, remember tomake use of Netflix’s watchlist feature. Be sure to add these three shows to the list, assuming you don’t plan to immediately binge them this weekend!
